Yessir, California poppies. The state flower, and these particular fields are protected.

I've enjoyed this series, very pretty.

Although why do you need a poppy preserve?

The land has been reserved and is regulated through the state park system to maintain its integrity and natural beauty. Or else, it would probably be gone.
